HR Strategy's Client is a Foreign Company in the Garment industry, now is seeking for Regional HSE Manager Position (open for expat) Working Location: Dong Nai province Company size: over 2000 employees Take care: ~7 - 12 Staff Working Time: Monday to morning Saturday (44 hours/week) JOB DESCRIPTION Guide and support factory EHS and operations teams on relevant EHS subject matter. Coordinate and conduct trainings for site EHS teams on global standards, best practices and policies and procedures. Support site EHS teams with the monitoring program to ensure the all overseas sites are in compliance with regulatory requirements and corporate standards. Partner with EHS Technical Team to ensure global standards are practical and relevant for overseas operations. Conduct risk assessment of sites and advise the site/country on risk control measures and mitigation plan. Monitor global standards implementation and provide feedback to Global EHS Team to achieve continuous improvement Gather, maintain and analyze data from sites and report results Manage the implementation of the EHS audit protocol and corresponding cross-sites audit program with HS Site teams Evaluate the EHS performance of different sites in the region to ensure continuous improvement. Advise site EHS teams on corrective actions and improvements. Partner with EHS Technical Team to develop relevant KPIs and goals for health and safety performance evaluation Originate and drive global EHS promotion campaign to raise the awareness for health protection and operation safety. Support the country and site management to coordinate the site EHS committee. Go business trip to other country in area. Ex: Sri Lanka, Hong Kong, Malaysai and Mauritius. JOB REQUIREMENTS 1) Education: Bachelor degree in Science, Engineer, Environmental Science, etc. 2) Experience: Minimum 7 - 10 years of EHS experience in the manufacturing of Garment/Textile industry. Experience in implementation of OHSAS18000/ ISO45001 is preferred. Effective multi-cultural communicator and influencer. 3) Qualification: Professional Qualification of Nebosh, CIH, CIEH is preferred. Previous experience in managing and coaching junior staff. Management Competence Issue management: ability to communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders; Factory GM’s, Operator’s, HR staff, production managers/supervisors, EEL staff, customer compliance representatives, etc. Team management: able to effectively lead / manage a team of 7-12 staff to assist in meeting the company’s objectives, while also helping to further develop their professional skills. 4) Skills: Persuasion skill, Communication skills. Understand broader industry issues, and how the work in one country affects and relates to company Maintains confidentiality of audit results and internal company issues The ability to work well within different cultural contexts, and an interest in increased understanding of other cultures Ability to work as a team both within EEL and throughout the factory base. Language: English is good at spoken and written. Understanding of Vietnamese is a plus. |
