Job Element 1) Engineering Activities - Learn and be able to perform key aspects of manufacturing processes in CNC area Improve overall processes and related issues including process development, creating process documentation, product assembly and production processing, problem solving, and project management - Commission and test and/or source and cost-justify various tools, machinery and equipment for recommended manufacturing methods. Confer with suppliers to establish processing requirements and arrange for purchase of machinery and equipment according to specifications and quality standards - Perform product/process analysis for cost reduction (scrap reduction), quality improvement, and improved efficiency - Perform other related duties as assigned - Transfer products from prototype to manufacturing through the documented NPI process - Process scale-up from prototype to pilot production to production - Support both legacy processes and new products in Production - Create and support engineering documentation related to machining activities (Tool Sheets, Process Sheets, Operator inspection Sheets, Setup Sheets) - Write Process Engineering change requests per the company’s SOP - Activities include tooling design, hands-on component fabrication, process optimization, component testing - Interface with outside entities, including tooling houses - Interface with R&D and production personnel from other M Cubed facilities. 2) New Product Development - Support the transfer of new products from prototype and low level of production to mass production. - Understand the software used to create and model products (Pro E/Creo) and machine materials using CNC equipment using CAD/CAM software (Surfcam) - Support special projects as required - Report on projects and make recommendations to management. 3) Business Operations - Support costing reviews - Lead and participate in Process Check Analysis Sheet (PCAS) reviews for new products and processes - Adhere to all department processes. Support reviews and audits of all SOPs and company practices for continuous improvement and cycle time reduction opportunities - Ensure all records, reports, and metrics are accurate and on-time - Understand and execute to relevant Company Technology Control Plans, Export Compliance requirements, IP, IT and Quality procedures - Establish and maintain a high standard of ethics, professionalism, competency, and quality. 4) Personal Development / Business Practices - Company policy is followed regarding all safety, environmental, and ergonomic requirements - Responsible for maintaining proper housekeeping standards - Adapts readily to changes in work caused by new requirements and/or situations - Role model for Quality, Customer Satisfaction, Employee Satisfaction and Business Results - Keep up-to-date with the technical literature related to machining of advanced ceramics and composites. This position will be sent to America for training 3 month before start up new project in Vietnam. |

- 3-8 years relevant experience - Knowledge of advanced ceramics, metals, and composites - Hands-on experience with CNC Machines (VMC, HMC, EDM) - Experience with problem analysis and resolution - Demonstrated ability to achieve results independently or working with others - Ability to recommend and implement machining improvements - Experience with networked PC based computer system (MS Office, Excel, Pro Engineer, Surfcam, Outlook, MRP systems) Special Skills: - Project management: Ability to organize and manage multiple products through the manufacturing process - Problem analysis and problem resolution - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Both in English and Vietnamese - Desired technical skills set includes: Use of machining equipment, for design focus, experience with CAD, CAM, CNC programming, and use of CNC, EDM equipment - Experience and training in the use of Haas Equipment - Ability to react quickly to changing requirements and new processing developments - Keen interest in quickly learning and applying new skills.. - Ability to handle multiple priorities involving external and internal priorities - Handle special assignments promptly and professionally - Set a high standard of ethics, professionalism, leadership, and competency - Demonstrates and promotes company Worldwide values: ** Customer First ** Honesty and Integrity ** Open Communications ** Teamwork ** Continuous Improvement and Learning ** Manage by the “Facts” ** A Safe, Clean and Orderly Workplace |
